LAURA'S OLDIES ROOM complements my main tumblelog, LAURA'S OLDIES CONNECTION. Unlike Laura's Oldies Connection, which is devoted strictly to images and media from the 1940s through 1970s, Laura's Oldies Room is for newer and present-day photos and videos of singers, groups and musicians from rock and roll's golden era ('50s, '60s, '70s)—including my own concert shots.

The “Rave On!” episode from the third season of Boy Meets World. Originally airing in November of 1995, this episode features three of The Monkees—Peter Tork, Micky Dolenz, and Davy Jones—in non-Monkee roles. Naturally, the plot demands that the trio join forces for a couple of tunes late in the show! Great writing by Jeffrey C. Sherman, who talked to the Huffington Post about the making of the episode a few days after the passing of Davy Jones in February 2012.
